The team just finished my EV charger install and I couldn't be happier. David and Ryan were fantastic, walked me through the process, discussed placement and options and it looks amazing - somehow these magicians managed to run the wiring through the attic and avoided any conduit on the walls! Great work Socket Doctors and specifically David and Ryan. I highly recommend this team

Contacted Socket Doctors for a quote on adding an additional circuit to our craft room. They responded to the request almost immediately and David and Ryan showed up, on time, to do an inspection. After determining what was required I was given a detailed estimate on the spot.
After agreeing to a price David and Ryan got to work right away. They did an excellent job of communicating their plan, and provided updates as they progressed. Theses guys were quick and left the job spotless. I’m very pleased with their work and would use them again.

I had an excellent experience with Socket Doctors. It started with me being completely overwhelmed trying to figure out who I was going to hire to install a Tesla hardwired charger in my garage. After going back and forth with different companies, not getting timely replies or getting quotes that were more than I was willing to spend, Camille called me. She kept at it too. Which was EXACTLY what I needed. Very prompt, kind and professional. She got me on the schedule same day to have someone come and give me an estimate. David and Ryan arrived before the scheduled window, which was perfect because I was waiting to run some errands. The quote was very reasonable too. The install was estimated to take 30 minutes but it only took 15 and it was done perfectly! They cleaned up before they left and I can’t say enough positive things about this crew!

FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE — all the way around! Camille in customer service was awesome! I was so thankful to talk to a REAL person!
She was always friendly, helpful in answering my questions, and in getting me on the schedule in a timely fashion!
Greg, one of the owners, came out to see exactly what I needed. He was extremely knowledgeable. He explained everything and gave me several options as to how I might proceed.
David and Ryan came to do the job. Again, they were friendly and professional.
Most importantly, they were knowledgeable, and they did the job correctly as asked. They labeled my new breaker box with very legible print. And no additional sheetrock work was needed!
David and Ryan also cleaned up everything and left things neat and tidy.
Everything is working very well!
Thank you, SOCKET DOCTORS, for a job well done!

UPDATE from my first review: Again - love these folks! Camille is so easy to work with and is an excellent communicator. Chuck was our electrician on this recessed lighting job and did some awesome work in an old basement. The two rooms he re-worked now look so much better (after removing the old ceiling fans). Ready to create some new living space!

Love these folks!! Excellent work, scheduling, communication, and pricing. We saved over $250 going with SD over other competitors on a whole-house surge suppressor, and the job was done expertly. Greg was on-time and highly skilled.

David and Ryan were right on time, in fact, they were early and let me know they would arrive early, which worked out for me! They completed the work in record time. I no longer worry about a loose light fixture crashing down on my family! David assured me "it's there to stay!" and I'm so glad I contacted them. Socket Doctors was the first company to respond to my request for electrical help and they are my Go To company from here on out for any electrical related problems I may encounter. You cannot go wrong with these knowledgeable people! Good company; good people; fair prices!

Terrific experience. I would recommend Socket Doctors in a heartbeat to anyone. David was absolutely the best! He (and Ryan) came out, identified the problem and repaired it. He was professional, friendly, and was able to problem solve like I have never seen! After they installed a new electrical panel, David identified a problem in the lines from the transformer outside. They helped me explain the situation to Cobb EMC and made sure that it would be taken care of on their end (which they did). I cannot express how much I appreciate everything your company has done (including the scheduler)!!! Thank you for having such super employees!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience in working with the team at Socket Doctors! Whether it was Greg who came for the estimate, Camille for scheduling and coordination, and David and Ryan who came out to do the job, they were all incredibly friendly, professional, and got the job done super fast! We hired them to install a new chandelier in our two-story foyer and a new electrical box in a room ceiling that needed one. They were so helpful, went above and beyond, put everything back where it was when they got here, and even insisted on taking the old chandelier out to the garage for disposal after the job was done. Feels great to support a local small business, and couldn't recommend them enough. Thanks to the whole team, and especially David and Ryan, for all your help!

Great service, will be using them again.

Greg & Adam came to my house after I closed on it and did a full house inspection. We expected some issues from our home inspection during due diligence, but he was much more thorough and spotted amateur work, safety concerns, and went through all of the findings with me. From there, he helped me prioritize safety and immediate fixes, things to consider in the near future, and then also talked to me about what would be needed for potential projects in the future. They were always prompt at the beginning of their expected ETA range, and all of the people on site (David & Ryan in addition to Greg & Adam) were knowledgable and efficient with their tasks when we moved ahead with a bulk of the work discussed. I will be calling them again, putting them in my house binder for future reference, and cannot recommend them enough for any electrical work you're even thinking about.

Socket Doctors have been my trusted electricians for years, and they never fail to diagnose, treat, and solve electrical issues. Yesterday they helped with 3 projects, including helping install a wall-mounted digital family calendar, with hidden wires in time for Christmas.

I needed to get a new hot water heater and when you’re in a 50 yr old home, we were told it was time to get all new panels and update our system (arghhhhh)
I got 2 quotes that were similar and then my 3rd company (Brad) was next
- they didn’t want to quote the job without first coming by to look….great lesson for me as I thought it wouldn’t matter, already sent them pics and figured they wanted to come to my home so they could tell me even more to do and “sell” me …..but in fact it really showed their professionalism…
—- they said I needed 1 new panel (not 2) the other one was fine just not set up right…it needed circuits replaced and a deep clean - but not a brand new one. This saved me about 10 % versus the other quote.

They were honest , put up with a lot of questions and they showed up on time and did a great job. Went the extra mile to label every circuit in a 5500 square ft home - 100% would recommend calling Brad and Socket Doctors- the lady who helped coordinate and schedule everything was first class as well!

Socket Doctors did an outstanding job with our home electrical work! From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and highly knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly, handled the job with precision, and made sure all work was safe and up to code.

What really stood out was their attention to detail and respect for our home — they worked efficiently, kept everything clean, and left us feeling confident in the quality of the work. It’s rare to find contractors who combine expertise with excellent customer service, but Socket Doctors absolutely delivered.

Camille responded to my inquiry swiftly and asked all the right questions to help determine my problem before sending out a service tech. David arrived on time and quickly began working to replace a fault in GFI switch. He was quite respectful and friendly letting me know step by step what he was doing. I also had them to wire a ceiling fan/light kit in a guest bedroom. Checked all the outlets and switches to make sure everything was in working order before he left. He even check the electrical panel and gave me a few suggestions for the future. No high pressure sales to upgrade and spend money unnecessarily like some other electrical companies that pay their techs on commission. I will definitely keep them for any future electrical needs and recommend them for your electrical needs.

Exceptional and versatile service! From the initial telephone call to the completion of the job, communication was outstanding. I especially appreciated the proactive text notifications confirming my appointment time, along with updates on which electrician would be arriving. I also received a timely message from the electrician providing an accurate estimated arrival time—they arrived within a minute of that estimate. The electrician was well-prepared with all the necessary equipment to complete the charger installation for my Ford EV.

Ahead of the appointment, I inquired about installing a transfer switch to allow my EV to power my home during a power outage. They were extremely knowledgeable and explained the installation process thoroughly. The installation itself was neat and professionally executed, with thoughtful positioning of the transfer switch and charging cable for optimal use. I appreciated that the electrician communicated clearly and asked for my input before drilling into the wall, demonstrating respect for my preferences and property.

Your attention to detail truly exceeded my expectations, and the area looked even cleaner after the work was completed. I am very happy with the entire process and will confidently recommend your team for any future electrical work. Thank you, Taylor, for your outstanding service.

This is at least the 4th time I've used Socket Doctors. Taylor was the guy this time to troubleshoot a ceiling fixture with no power. Existing wiring inside the box was shoddy, Taylor had to rewire the box, all new parts, test power inside the breaker panel. And installed my new fixture. A+ results.

I found Socket Doctors through an EV I recently purchased. They were the manufacturer's preferred installer for the wall charger, so they met certain standards as evaluated by another party. (This is not an insignificant element since this is high voltage stuff that can be error prone, according to the experience of some less fortunate acquaintances who used other firms.)

I found SD to be good communicators, highly professional, and showed up right on time. Their scheduler was highly courteous, and their appointment setting was flexible. While they no doubt have to work constantly to balance various projects, they also worked around my schedule so that everything was completed in a reasonable amount of time.

I have no complaints about their service and may use them for future jobs.

Outstanding Experience with Socket Doctors for Tesla PowerShare Installation

I recently hired Socket Doctors for the installation of a Tesla PowerShare system in my home, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and professionalism they provided. From the start, the communication with their team was exceptional. They made sure to explain every step of the process, addressing my questions clearly and ensuring I was comfortable with the installation plan.

The Socket Doctors staff was highly knowledgeable about Tesla PowerShare systems and the intricacies involved in their installation. This expertise was evident throughout the project, as they handled every detail efficiently and professionally. Not only did they complete the work within the promised timeframe, but they also demonstrated a high level of dedication by going the extra mile to troubleshoot and resolve an unexpected issue that came up during the installation. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction was truly impressive.

Overall, Socket Doctors exceeded my expectations with their reliable service, expertise, and customer-focused approach. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering electrical work, especially for EV-related installations like Tesla PowerShare. Thanks to their efforts, I now have a fully operational PowerShare setup and peace of mind knowing it was installed by true professionals.

An excellent job by socket doctors. They installed my vehicle charger quickly and took extra care to make sure the job was done neatly. Even though they had to dig around a tree stump, they finished ahead of schedule. I would recommend Socket Doctors to anyone looking to install a vehicle charger.

Socket Doctors came to replace my old panel. David and Dennis were professional, honest, and communicative. They did a good job putting in the larger new panel and made it look clean. They also went above and beyond in calling GA Power for us after they noticed something was wrong with our service line. I recommend Socket Doctors for all your electric needs!

They kept me updated along the way and even went above and beyond to try to figure out what was causing something to not work the way it should. I have used them before and will use them again.

Just had a charger installed in my garage and they did an excellent job. Communication was great, installer showed up at the agreed upon time and was done in about 3 hours. It passed the local Milton inspection a few days later and all is good.

Socket Doctors is communicative, punctual, and honest. After consulting several electricians for an electrical panel upgrade to install an EV charger, we found Socket Doctors to be the most thorough and efficient in their explanations. Their quote was mid-range, and despite a wait of a few weeks ( a good sign to us), they kept us well-informed throughout the process. We will definitely use them again.

Socket Doctors are the best! This was the second EV charger install they have completed for me over the last 2 years. Always professional, timely, and the job completed perfectly - not to mention, they are incredibly reasonably priced (some of the larger competitors quote at 2x-3x the price of Socket Doctors). I highly recommend them.

Great service from start to finish. Preliminary visit with quotation and planning was superb. Permits were obtained and work was scheduled. Two technicians showed up on time with an advance phone call. Work was done. No messes were left behind. I could not tell they had been here except I had a new Rivian charger installed. Impeccable job from start to finish.

Had two different technicians, one week apart (1/8 & 1/15), and they were both excellent. The first technician installed a replacement ChargePoint charger, and while doing so, noticed that the original wiring was incorrect (not done by Socket Doctors!). He was very patient with me and with ChargePoint, while waiting for the old charger to be removed from my app.

I've hired Socket Doctors for quite a few jobs now. I have had nothing but great experiences each time. The previous homeowner had taken some shortcuts to electrical work and Socket Doctors was able to bring these mistakes up to code at a fair price.

Socket Doctors are the only electricians we will ever call. We’ve had them out a handful of times over the years for projects both big and small. They’re always friendly, professional and FAIR! Never have we ever felt they were trying to get one over on us. It is rare I ever leave a review but these guys earn 5 stars time and time again. They aren’t going to try and upsell you, they don’t recommend unnecessary work, and we are typically impressed with the cost. In a day and age where everything is expensive/overpriced, Socket Doctors seem to go above and beyond to get your house back online while not breaking your bank. Working people caring for other working people! We need more companies like Socket Doctors. Call them and you won’t be disappointed

I purchased a new Chevrolet EV, which came with professional installation of a charging port. I was very skeptical because my circuit breaker panel was completely full, and we already had two heat pumps, an electric water heater, electric range, electric dryer, and a four season room that all used high amperage double pull breakers. I honestly thought it was either hopeless, or going to be very expensive! When the electricians from Socket Doctors showed up, they never had a doubt that they could get the new NEMA 14-50 (double pull 50 amp) circuit installed!

They reviewed my existing circuits, and were able to find some under utilized circuits that they could combine to make room for the new circuit. Two hours after pulling into my driveway, they were pulling back out having successfully installed a new NEMA 14-50 circuit exactly where I had requested it for the standard price! I still can’t believe they were able to get it done, but they never had a doubt. They were the most positive thinking electricians I have ever met! Great work, completely professional installation! Very seldom have I ever been this impressed!
